Fiats vs Polikarpovs Offline Competition Week 9

I don't know who will be able to view this because You Tube said it would be restricted in certain areas due to the music playing being copywritten. This is the music that comes with the SAS B.A.T. mod. Let me know if you can view it. Thanks, and enjoy!

Very nice!

Let us gather here, we few remaining warriors of olden days, to stand firm against the bleak winters, the long nights, the ever encroaching ending of our glorious era in the sun.  Our numbers have dwindled, few remain—yet still we Fly!

So far all have been able to view. I had to upload twice because of the length of the video; I needed a verification number from You Tube to upload a vid longer than 20 minutes. Then I discover that the performance of a classical piece, Sabre Dance, has a copyright claim by an orchestra?!?! I appreciate the views, and you folks letting me know that you could see it. My connection speed sucks, and it takes hours to upload a video. Then after YT gets finished with its processing what people see is always a "Lossy" copy. And they could have told me ahead of time that the video was too long, but no: let the entire thing upload before telling me it couldn't be published till I verified my account, and made me do it all again. I really enjoy making these, and it's really discouraging, but hey . . . fun is fun and I am gonna have it.  ;D

I've been through this: when I was told that I could only upload videos of up to 15 minutes without having verified my account, I decided that my videos would be up to 14: 5x minutes at most. Then over time I discovered that people rarely watch a full 10 minute video (specifically speaking of IL2 videos), so I kept making them shorter and shorter. That implies a basic editing job, cut and paste, selecting the most significant fragments to summarize the story to the fullest. It can be an interesting challenge. In my opinion, the maximum length of an IL2 video should not exceed five minutes, and the material should be attractive to retain your audience until the story ends, although I often exceed my limit.

Very cool, Haukka! Love your editing work.. 8~)

Tsisqua - I thought it may have been the orchestra/conductor's rights, tho' Khachaturian passed away only in 1978 (less than 50 years, could still be affected).
As a guitar player, you might enjoy this :
