Hi Haukka. Welcome back. I just watched your Smolensk41 video on Youtube. Very good and patience rewarded. I have to use icons as my eyes are not good so I don't know how you keep track of the enemy fighters without them. Well done.

Hi Lars. I'm glad you liked the video. In those campaigns that we fly with other squadrons, or even among ourselves, we all fly in the same conditions, without icons, and many times we lose sight of our contacts, as happened in reality. In the video you can see that several times I lose sight of my opponents. In fact, in the second fight, there were three Migs in the area, and I only saw one; I found out later.
I confess that I need new glasses. This old cat does not see the same as before.
Thank you for your comments.
Regards  ;)

Dear Friends. You will rest from me for a while. I lift my camp and move to another position in a very short time. At the moment I'm just packing. For this reason, although I have quite defined the missions for a whole month, I have not had time to test them: We will fly them on my return. In the meantime, don't stop flying and learning from each other. Lars and Von's campaigns will keep you moving. When I am in my new place I will participate again here with You as I have done up to now.

Once again, I appreciate the enthusiasm and goodwill you have put in to achieve a good mission. These last two months have been a lot of fun, plus we have grown as friends.

To each and every one of you, I wish that the Year 2021 brings you Peace of Mind, Health, Safety, Prosperity. Freedom.

A big hug to all of You, from the far south.

Tired of walking around the field without knowing what to do? Have you visited all the mechanics yet? Have you smoked a cigarette with each of them, and have they told you the same stories in the last two months? How many more naps do you plan to sleep this week?

I have good news for you. The action returns next Sunday. Prepare your muscles, grease the axles, refuel, warm up your engine, because very soon we will start the first flying season of this year. The appointment is right here, in three days. I'll see you soon.

I've SO been looking forward to this! I'll probably hit the record button and do a movie, but beings this site is so well protected there will be no mention of our antics here or the competition when I upload to YT. I'll return my mission report, and share the vid on our movies board. Wheeeeee! Ican't wait for the smoke to clear here at home tonight to do this.
Good Hunting, All!

UPDATE:  I now have a working Photoshop, purchased a new version last night. Adobe no longer sells a single disk of the program, you have to purchase a monthly subscription. It's only $10 a month. :) The new program also converted my version 6.0 files to the new format, so I didn't loose any of my skin templates, 20 years worth ... whew !!! So, bottom line I'll be able to post screen shots with this coming weeks mission.  :)
Sincerely,
DHumphrey

Hi friends. As some of you already know, we are going to temporarily suspend our Sunday game, the mission of the contest, while we prepare new missions and wait for the return of all our pilots. Until then, exercise, eat well, and get plenty of rest. Good Sunday everyone.

Hey guys, we're starting a new weekly missions season soon. We'll start with ... you'll see.

As you become more skilled as time passes and missions progress, this time we will tighten the nuts a little more.

We will fly with 4.12.2m as a base installation.
However, it is recommended to use a 4.12.2m and SAS Modact 5.3, which allows you some visual enhancements and some useful modifications.

We will test the missions in BAT BLUE EDGE, but we do not support VP Modpack or 4.14.1m, although the missions may work in these versions of the game.

It will also be possible for missions to work on HSFX 7.0.3 and Ypack 1.2.3, although we will not test these versions. Forget about any other version of the game. A 4.12.2m and SAS Modact 5.3 doesn't take up much space on your computer, and today we all have good storage capacity.

***************************************

Well guys, now let's put the cards on the table. In this specific forum of IL-2 1946 we are more and more (pilots? ::) ), and today we are exactly 624 interested people. If we subtract from this number Beowolff (founder and head of the site), and Haukka (the wild mountain man who prepares Sunday missions), we have 622 people left. Since there are a handful of friends who are actively collaborating, I will gather the great silent crowd at 600 members.

Now, let each of those 600 be honest with themselves and ask themselves if it is a good way to belong to a family of friends, to be simply taking everything that is presented without giving thanks.

When some of the guys who collaborate on this site present their work, sometimes a skin, sometimes a plane, sometimes a campaign, I don't see 600 recognitions. You are all very selfish. I usually think that there are practically no children or teenagers here, since this old game does not appeal to them. This means that most of these 600 have gray hair on their heads.

You have turned out to be selfish grandparents and accumulators of mods. Wow, how sad.

Now there is the possibility that you redeem yourself, collaborate on this site with your presence as one more friend. Come fly. Unless your ego is too big to go through the internet cable, what have you got to lose? A virtual life? Come on, don't be dramatic. If you are still alive after a crazy year, maybe it is a sign that you should participate in this contest of old fat and bald men, but no prize ... Isn't it an attractive challenge?

Come on young man, show us that you still like to fly, that you can enjoy it and that you can share it. You can also get to know some good friends better. We are all human, and today we must be more united than ever, and not separated by silly differences, old tantrums, unresolved arguments, resentments, and old unresolved hurts.

IL-2 1946. Come fly.
